Transition for new children
- We understand that relocating and changing school can present some challenges. New children are welcome to join us at any time.
- We encourage all prospective parents and children to visit us on any of our scheduled open door days.
- Once you have decided to register, we have an open-door policy and work to ensure new children have a smooth transition into their new class.
Environmental initiatives
- Aside from our ongoing Educational programmes, we are proud to be the first School in Northern Switzerland to be awarded the “Green Flag” designation as a result of our ongoing commitment to the Eco-Schools programme.
- This is a global project involving teachers, parents and children, that offers us a great opportunity to work on a range of themes designed to improve our environmental awareness and integrate eco-friendly activities, attitudes and habits in our daily lives.
Cultural integration
- We believe in facilitating happy childhood memories for our children by introducing them to the world they live in.
- As a diverse school community located in Basel, we love to celebrate cultural events such as Basler Fasnacht, Lantern parade, Vogel Gryff, Herbstmesse, etc. The children get to understand the significance of these events.
- International celebrations are also very much integrated into our School calendar including Easter Egg hunts, end of year festivities and summer celebrations at the end of the school year.
- We also run activities that are school-wide which not only fosters our “family approach” but also provides the opportunity for children to mix and integrate with children outside their class.
Transition for leavers
- Our bilingual and well-rounded educational programme provides many options and flexibility for you and your child’s future.
- It paves the way for life in multilingual communities and schools in Switzerland and around the world.
- Past leavers have transitioned very well to Swiss Public Schools and other International Schools in Switzerland and beyond.
Parental involvement
- We run regular coffee mornings for our parents and encourage, where possible, our parents to be involved in school events such as the summer party and Fasnacht and Lantern Parade celebrations.
